Create a stVault
1. Configure Vault Details
Enter the required information:
- Vault Name
- Admin Address: This can be either a linked wallet, or a custom address. Click Continue to proceed.
Important: Admin addresses (DEFAULT_ADMIN_ROLE) have full control over funds in the stVaultOnly assign the admin role to a wallet address you directly control. Providing an incorrect admin address may result in permanent loss of funds.
2. Deploy the stVault and Dashboard Contracts
Review the configuration details and click Create Vault.
You will be prompted to sign a transaction to deploy a stVault with dashboard on-chain.
3. Set the Pre-Deposit Guarantee (PDG) Policy
After deployment, you must set the PDG policy to 2 via an on-chain transaction.
The PDG policy:
- Enables staking directly from the vault,
- Is mandatory for registering a staking vault in the SVM.
Sign the PDG transaction to continue.
4. Connect the Vault to Vault Hub
Your vault must be connected to the Vault Hub to mint stETH (or wstETH). You will be prompted to sign a transaction that includes a transfer of 1 ETH to the stVault. The transaction will:
- ensure the stVault is funded to cover potential fees
- add the vault to the Vault Hub, connecting it with the Lido protocol.
5. Vault Added to Dashboard
Once the transactions are signed:
- The new stVault is created
- It is added to your profile
- It becomes visible and accessible from the dashboard.
